Xiaomi Smart Door Lock 2 Pro 3D Face Recognition 8 Unlocking Modes Display Screen Launched Price Features

Xiaomi has launched a smart door lock, which brings 3D structured light face unlock feature. Launched by the company in the domestic market as Xiaomi Smart Door Lock 2 Pro, this door lock features a large electronic cat-eye display along with a 160º ultra-wide-angle camera for outdoor monitoring. This includes access to traditional mechanical keys as well as face recognition, fingerprint recognition, Bluetooth, and NFC unlocking options. The device uses Xiaomi’s noise reduction lock body, which is equipped with multiple sensors for realtime monitoring. It works on a dual-battery system, consisting of four dry-cell batteries along with a 5,000mAh lithium battery that is claimed to deliver a total battery life of up to eight months. The smart door lock also supports power bank connectivity via Type-C cable for emergency unlocking when the battery drains.

Xiaomi Smart Door Lock 2 Pro has been launched in China for 2,299 Yuan (about Rs 30,000) and is available on GizmoChina. AccordingIt is currently available for purchase on JD.com.

Xiaomi Smart Door Lock 2 Pro uses a dual-battery system, consisting of a 5,000mAh lithium battery and four dry-cell batteries. The company says that this system can give a total battery life of eight months. The lithium battery can power cat-eye and face recognition for four months, while the dry-cell battery can power fingerprint and password unlocking for the same period. Power saving mode switches automatically when the battery reaches 10 percent. When the lithium battery is completely drained, the device automatically transitions to dry battery setup. Users can also charge it from power bank through Type-C cable.

It has a large electronic cat-eye display screen, which allows users to see conditions outside the room from inside the door. The ultra-wide-angle cat-eye camera has a 160º field range and can do multiple tasks, including detecting unusual activity and sending notifications to the owner. Xiaomi pointed out that the design of the screen is more attractive than that of a screen speaker, TV or other gadgets.

Xiaomi Smart Door Lock 2 Pro is equipped with ten unlocking options, which include face recognition, fingerprint recognition, Bluetooth, Xiaomi mobile phone, Xiaomi Watch, encrypted NFC door card and mechanical key, etc.
