
Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai extended greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Chaitra Navratri, Hindu New Year (Nav Samvatsar) and Gudi Padwa, wishing happiness, prosperity, good health and peace for all.
He said the Hindu New Year, beginning with the month of Chaitra, symbolises new energy, new resolve and new consciousness, and also marks the start of Chaitra Navratri, celebrated across the country with devotion and spiritual fervour. He added that Gudi Padwa, celebrated in Maharashtra and other regions, reflects hope, enthusiasm and rich cultural traditions.
Highlighting Chhattisgarh’s strong goddesses worshipping tradition, the Chief Minister said the state’s cultural identity is deeply rooted in faith in forms of Goddess such as Maa Sheetla, Maa Danteshwari, Mahamaya, Bamleshwari, Kankali, Bilaimata and Maa Chandrhasini. He noted that Navratri brings an atmosphere of devotion and spiritual energy, promoting harmony and positive thinking.
He reaffirmed that the government is committed to preserving the state’s cultural heritage while advancing development, and prayed to Maa Bhagwati for continued progress, peace and prosperity in every household of Chhattisgarh.
