Compassionate governance: CM Shri Vishnu Deo Sai provides motorised tricycle instantly to person with disability Shri Chandu Lal after hearing plea

Raipur, March 30, 2026/
A moving example of people-centric governance by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai was witnessed in Raipur’s Chandkhuri, where he listened to the concerns of Shri Chandu Lal Verma, a person with disability, and ensured immediate assistance on the spot.
Shri Chandu Lal had arrived at the inauguration program of Kayastha Mangal Bhavan hoping to meet the Chief Minister but was initially unable meet due to security restrictions.
Noticing his struggle of reaching out to him, the Chief Minister called Shri Chandu Lal onto the stage—a simple gesture that made a meaningful difference in his life. During the interaction, Shri Chandu Lal shared that he was earlier a mason but, due to diabetes-related complications affecting his legs, he is now unable to walk or work and requires a battery-operated tricycle.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai listened to him with empathy and promptly directed officials to arrange a motorised tricycle at the earliest.
The Chief Minister’s instructions were acted upon without delay. Nagar Panchayat President Shri Prateek Bais swiftly completed the formalities, ensuring that a motorised tricycle was handed over to Shri Chandu Lal Verma.
Overwhelmed with gratitude, Shri Chandu Lal became emotional and said, “I never imagined that the Chief Minister would meet me and resolve my problem so quickly. I am deeply thankful to him.”
This incident goes beyond assistance to an individual; it reflects the government’s commitment to sensitivity, accessibility, and swift grievance redressal. The Chief Minister’s intervention reinforces a governance approach where every citizen’s concern is heard directly and addressed promptly.
