CM Shri Sai directs best medical care for internationally acclaimed folk artist Shri Vikram Yadav

Culture Minister Shri Rajesh Agrawal assures government’s support

Raipur, July , 2026 /Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has directed officials to ensure the best possible treatment for internationally acclaimed folk artist and bamboo flute exponent Shri Vikram Yadav, who is undergoing treatment at Rajnandgaon Medical College.

Acting on the Chief Minister’s instructions, Tourism and Culture Minister Shri Rajesh Agrawal spoke to Shri Vikram Yadav’s family over the phone to enquire about his health and assured them that the state government would extend every possible assistance for his treatment. He said no compromise would be made in ensuring quality medical care.

Shri Agrawal also spoke to the Rajnandgaon Collector and senior doctors at Rajnandgaon Medical College, directing them to closely monitor Shri Yadav’s treatment, provide all necessary medical facilities and ensure the best care under specialist supervision. He said the state government would provide any additional medical support required.

Describing Shri Vikram Yadav as a cultural treasure of not only Chhattisgarh but the entire country, Chief Minister Shri Sai said the renowned bamboo musician had taken India’s rich folk traditions to international platforms through his distinctive performances. He wished him a speedy recovery and assured his family of the government’s full support during this difficult period.

Chief Minister said his government remained committed to the welfare and dignity of folk artists, who have devoted their lives to preserving Chhattisgarh’s culture, traditions and heritage.
