Apple export from India reached 41985 crore rupees in first 5 months of fy25

Apple, which manufactures iPhones, is among the world’s leading tech companies. Recently it has launched the iPhone 16 series, the starting price of which in India is around Rs 80 thousand. Indian users seem happy with the pricing of the new iPhones. Credit for this should be given to Apple as well as the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme of the Government of India. Modi government has started this scheme, the effect of which is now visible. According to a report, Apple iPhone exports from India have increased to $ 5 billion (about Rs 41,985 crore) within the first five months of FY 2025. This is 54 percent more than this time last year.

One Report According to , the reason for this increase in exports is the start of production of iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone Max in India. Till now the basic and plus models of iPhone were being assembled in India. Now it is being said that manufacturing of iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone Max has also started in the country.

As many iPhones were exported from India in the first five months of FY 2025 as were exported from India in the entire year of FY 22. This shows that the production of iPhone in the country has increased rapidly in a short time.

Major vendors manufacturing Apple iPhone in India include Foxconn, Pegatron and Wistron. Wistron is now in the hands of Tata Electronics. All the companies are producing iPhones in the country by joining the PLI scheme. The aim of these companies together is to export iPhones worth 8.9 billion dollars i.e. about Rs 75 thousand crores in this financial year.

According to the report, iPhone sales may also increase in the domestic market between November and March. The reason for this is believed to be the festive season. It is being told that Foxconn has just started the production of Pro and Pro Max models of iPhone. These are expensive models of iPhone. The export value of iPhones from India may increase further after November.
