Ather Eight70 Warranty Scheme Price 4999 8 Year 80K Km Full Battery Coverage Easy Claim Settlement For 450 Rizta

Ather Energy has announced an extended battery warranty scheme for its Ather 450 and Rizta electric scooters. The warranty scheme, called Eight70, has been brought in partnership with Reliance General Insurance, which aims to eliminate concerns about long-term battery health, performance and replacement costs. The company already offers a five-year warranty by default with its e-scooters.

The Ather Eight70 warranty is being offered as a 3-year add-on, which will start after the 5-year battery that comes with the Pro Pack of the e-scooter, giving the user a total of 8-years of benefits. Its price will be Rs 4,999 including GST. Keep in mind that this add-on can be taken only with Pro Pack.

Ather Energy said through a press release that customers with its Ather 450 and Rizta e-scooters will now have the option to choose the new warranty scheme. Under this, users will get battery warranty for 8 years or 80,000 km, whichever is earlier. 70 in the name means 70 percent battery health. When choosing this package, Ather also assures that it will maintain at least 70 percent battery health during the full coverage period.

Additionally, it is stated that the warranty will cover all manufacturing defects and battery failures without any upper limit on the monetary value of the claim. Ather Energy is also claiming that claims will not be rejected due to deep discharging of the battery cell, even if the user leaves the scooter without charging for a long time or keeps it inactive.

Let us tell you that the ex-showroom price of Ather 450 in India starts from Rs 1.25 lakh. The S variant comes in this price range, while the X variant is priced at Rs 1.54 lakh (ex-showroom). Whereas, the price of Ather Rizta is Rs 1.09 lakh (ex-showroom).
