IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack
Vijay Varma starrer IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack has been released by Netflix. It is a crime-drama series based on the 1999 hijacking of Indian Airlines Flight 814. The film is directed by Anubhav Sinha. The film is produced by Sarita Patil and Sanjay Routray under the banner of Matchbox Shots and Banaras Mediaworks. Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapoor, Vijay Verma, Dia Mirza and Arvind Swami will also be seen playing important roles in the film. The film is available for streaming on Netflix from August 29.
Murshid
The film tells the story of famous underworld don Murshid Pathan of the 1990s. The character of Murshid Pathan is played by KK Menon. It is shown that Murshid Pathan has two sons, yet he adopts an orphan who later becomes a police inspector. Murshid left the underworld after the death of his elder son. Meanwhile Farid (Zakir Hussain) replaces Murshid and becomes the new don of Mumbai. The film has been released by Zee5. It can be streamed from August 30.
Cadets
Cadets, directed by Vishwajoy Mukherjee, is a series that takes us to the era of 1988. It’s a nostalgic look at how young minds meet each other at the fictional Armed Forces Academy and come face to face with military discipline in Pune. The series is based on Tanushree Poddar’s novel Boots Belts Berets. The audience is going to get a mixed dose of action, drama and young romance in the series. The series has been released on Jio Cinema and is available for streaming from August 30.
