India’s UPI payment system has become the largest medium of digital payment in the world. It has left behind the payment systems of America, China and Brazil. A record 14.96 billion UPI transactions took place in the month of August. 3,729.1 transactions processed every second. It has left behind China’s Alipay, America’s PayPal and Brazil’s PIX. Every month 60 lakh new users are joining UPI. More than 40 percent of payments in the country are being made digitally.
