Motorola Reportedly Making New Folding Smartphone with Motorized hinge

Motorola is working on an alleged folding phone. Recently Motorola filed a patent with the US Patent Office for a motorized hinge mechanism to automatically adjust the angle of the device. Motorola’s alleged phone will offer the ability to fold automatically. Let us know in detail about Motorola’s upcoming foldable phone.

Let us tell you that the form factor of the Lenovo laptop with the same mechanism that was showcased at IFA last month is much larger. This gives Lenovo more space to pack the necessary components and implement this feature. However, the hinge already covers a lot of space in a folding phone. This space is so large that they often have much less battery capacity than normal phones. Similarly, the first phones with pop-up selfie cameras were introduced. Those designs were not taken forward by the companies because there was lack of space for the motorized camera mechanism.

If Motorola is able to fit all the necessary components in a folding phone. And if it manages to introduce a device that not only takes selfies while sitting on a table but also adjusts its tilt to keep you in the frame during a video call, it would be a great achievement. The patent, titled Autonomous Form Factor Control of a Folding Mobile Device, reportedly involves the use of special materials that can change shape, as well as small motors to aid in hinge movement. Apart from this, the phone will use machine learning technology to track the activities of users.

According to other reports, the special material is a shape memory alloy that changes shape when heat is applied, which can be generated using electrical energy from a battery. Let us tell you that at present this phone is in the initial stage of its development and it will be difficult to say when it will knock.
