Elon Musk’s company SpaceX is planning to launch it on August 26. If it is launched, it will be the world’s first commercial mission in which astronauts present will do spacewalk.

Under the mission, 4 astronauts will be sent to space on SpaceX’s Falcon-9 rocket. He will board SpaceX’s Crew Dragon capsule. This launch is to take place from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center.

The mission is being funded by billionaire Jared Isaacman. He will also command it. Apart from him, Lieutenant Colonel Scott Poteat will fly as the pilot. Sarah Gillis and Anna Menon will play the role of specialists in this mission. Both are operations engineers at SpaceX.

Spacewalk 700km above earth!

There are plans to take the Polaris Dawn Mission even higher than the International Space Station (ISS). It will go about 700 kilometers above the Earth, while the ISS is present 400 kilometers above the Earth. According to reports, the astronauts flying under the mission will perform a private spacewalk for the first time. During this time SpaceX’s spacesuit will be used. It is said that this will be the highest human space flight after the Apollo Moon missions launched in the 1960s and 1970s.

The mission was to be launched in the year 2022. But it has been delayed. There was hope of launching the mission in the beginning of this year and now the date of 26th August is being seen.
